Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid homage to the 125th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Saturday. PM Modi said, ‘His sacrifice and dedication for the independence of the country will always be remembered’.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted and wrote, “ Blessings to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a great freedom fighter and true son of Mother India, on his birth anniversary. A grateful nation will always remember his sacrifice and dedication for the independence of the country.

Many programs organized across the country

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January in Cuttack, Odisha. The Government of India has announced to celebrate his birth anniversary as ‘Parakram Divas’. The Ministry of Culture of the Central Government has organized many programs across the country on his 125th birth anniversary.

PM Narendra Modi will address the ‘Parakram Diwas’ ceremony today to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The Prime Minister will attend the ‘Parakram Divas’ function held in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. At the same time, the Prime Minister will also visit the Jerenga Plateau in Sivasagar, Assam to distribute 1.06 lakh land pattas.
