This Sunday, December 25, US officials reported that 15 Cuban rafters arrived in the Florida Keys on Christmas, arriving from Matanzas.
Chief Agent of the United States Border Patrol, Walter N. Slosser reported the fact through a post on Twitter.
“On Christmas morning, 15 Cuban migrants made landfall in a rustic boat in the Florida Keys.”
Slossar noted that the Cuban rafters arrived in the early hours of Christmas morning and were detained by the authorities.
“At 5:00 a.m., Border Patrol agents and LE partners responded to Key Colony Beach and confronted the individuals.”
Likewise, it was indicated that the rafters had left the Matanzas area in Cuba during the night.

It should be remembered that a group of 20 Cuban rafters have gone missing after leaving Punta Alegre in the province of Ciego de Avila.
The Cubans left the island two weeks ago and their families have not heard from them.
So far, no further information has been received from authorities about the missing Cuban rafters, while relatives pray for answers or signs of life from their loved ones.
“We have called everywhere and no one answers us. In Cuba, my mother called and tried to find an answer and she didn’t either. Please, we trust in God everyone is ok but we need an answer, it’s been a long time without knowing anything… We are desperate, please,” wrote a relative of the rafters Cubans around the world,
