The 2023 Kia Sorento PHEV and 2023 Kia Rio have been announced as the winners of the 2023 ‘Vincentric Best Value in America’ award in the mid-size and subcompact SUV categories, respectively. The Kia Rio was earlier recognized for 2021 and 2022 in the subcompact hatchback segment.
In addition to the Best Value in America Awards, Wincentric recognized the 2023 Kia Rio as having the lowest total cost of ownership in the subcompact and subcompact hatchback segments for the second year in a row.

This is the 19th year of the “Vincentric Best Value in America Awards,” which celebrates the best value vehicles in each segment. Value is determined through statistical analysis involving current market value and total cost of ownership for 2023 model year vehicles.
“Both the Sorento PHEV and Rio performed strongly at this year’s Vincentic Best Value in America Awards,” said David Wuster, President of Vincentic.
“The Sorento PHEV had the best fuel economy ratings and lowest operating costs in its segment, helping it beat 22 competing models and claim victory as the mid-size SUV.
The Rio impressed with the lowest cost of insurance, cost of repairs and total cost of ownership in its segment.
