Police have tried a diversion against three suspects in the case of threatening a girl who had sex with a cat in Tasikmalaya. The three suspects were returned to their parents under observation.
Supervision detikJabarThe diversion process was conducted on Tuesday (26/7/2022) in the Taskmalaya Police Satrecream Case Title Room. Apart from presenting the children of the three suspected criminals with their parents, the victim’s family was also present.
The victim’s family was represented by the father of the 11-year-old victim. In addition, officials from the village of Sukasih along with Taskamalaya KPAID and P2TP2A were also involved in the diversion process.
The police and the children’s agency agreed that a diversion would be taken to deal with the matter. This is to give priority to the principles of child protection, especially the principle of prioritizing the best interests of the child.
“The process is today the turning point. The children are indeed suspicious but the handling is in accordance with Law No. 11 of Juvenile Justice, 2012. So this turning point is a trial process as per the above law,” said Anan Yuliati, president of the daily P2TP2A Taskmalaya Regency.
These three children are then under the supervision of the correctional centre. He was returned to his parents under supervision for three months.
If a similar act or bullying is found to be close during the monitoring process, the matter will escalate again.
“We were asked by the Garuda Correctional Center here to implement a juvenile criminal justice system by the Taskmalaya police.
