30 years in jail for demanding sex videos of girls

Miami.- A Miami-Dade County man was sentenced to 30 years in prison. the prison to extort girls To whom, according to prosecutors’ allegation, he forced her to send him photos and videos of explicit sexual content.

Oscar Williams Jr., 30, originally from the municipality of Opa-locka, fired four girls for “producing child sexual abuse material,” according to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

A bulletin from the prosecutor’s office indicates that Williams Jr. was previously convicted of four counts of producing child sexual abuse material and one count of extortion.

The incidents took place between November 2019 and September 2020. The investigation revealed that Williams was required to send photos and videos to minors through an application on the social network.

“Williams threatened to post material on social media and pornography websites if she did not continue to send him such material,” the federal agency said.

He also said that the man “demanded as many as 50 photographs a day from some of the victims.”

Williams was arrested after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) executed a search warrant at his home, following social media applications where Williams committed the crimes he was charged with.

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Juan Antonio Gonzalez and FBI Special Agent Robert M. DeWitt.

The case was brought by the Department of Justice as part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the “growing epidemic” of child sexual abuse and abuse.

The program brings together federal, state and local resources to detect, apprehend and prosecute online child abusers, as well as identify and rescue victims.
