Haim the chimpanzee succeeded when he became a passenger on space shuttle Mercury No. photo/ist
For experimentation, humans have no shortage of animals to go to outer space. Some of them are purely for research and some are just gimmicks.
Recently the European Space Agency (ESA) became the talk of town for sending the animated character Shaun the Sheep on NASA’s space shuttle mission, Artemis I. They claim that Shaun the Sheep is the first “sheep” to be in space.

It is interesting to watch these gimmicks. It’s just that there are many sad stories experienced by animals when sent into space.
Here are some of those stories:
1. Laika the Poor Soviet Union Dog
Laika is a guinea pig sent into space by the Soviet Union. The dog became the first animal to go into space.
The problem is that traveling to space is a suicide mission for Laika. Because Laika is predicted to die on the seventh day due to lack of oxygen.
The problem is that the technology was still less sophisticated at the time. As a result, when the spacecraft began to take off, Laika was horrified. His heart rate tripled to normal and his breathing rate quadrupled.
