According to data from Pinterest, pearl-themed events are increasing in interest in 2022 and this trend is very evident in weddings.
From rings to decorations, spikes can be seen for nearly every major element for weddings in pearl-centric finds. Searches for pearl gowns increased 3 times, interest in ‘pearl themed party’ doubled, ‘pearl wedding decorations’ increased by 185 percent year-on-year, and searches for ‘pearl ring simple’ also increased doubled increase.
What’s more romantic than moonlight? A whole celestial-themed event, that’s all. Pinterest data shows a 180 percent increase in searches for ‘moon wedding dress’.
Similarly, both ‘star themed parties’ and ‘moon party decorations’ have seen a jump of 140 per cent. While they are not specifically related to marriage, they certainly highlight the popularity of the cosmic party trend – and what is a wedding if not a party?
Taking a break from Pinterest trends, Vogue Australia chatted with Tanya Shaw, founder of wedding planning studio Oh Flora, and she shared how pastels and bold color combos will be big in 2022.
