64-year-old Dominican mother shot in the head on Manhattan sidewalk

NEW YORK — Loved ones of Valeria Ortega are reeling from excruciating pain after authorities found the 64-year-old Dominican mother dead of a gunshot wound to the head in broad daylight on a New York City sidewalk Monday.
