NEW YORK — Loved ones of Valeria Ortega are reeling from excruciating pain after authorities found the 64-year-old Dominican mother dead of a gunshot wound to the head in broad daylight on a New York City sidewalk Monday.

Ortega’s husband told Telemundo 47 that his partner was a good person and that he feels bad for their two children.
He claimed that his wife was on her way to a shop when someone shot her.
