The renowned auction house is offering a Ducati 916 Senna II, one of its most coveted models, in perfect condition. Its price is expected to reach 23,000 euros.
The auction house Bonhams announced their long-awaited December sale where some particularly interesting models have been put together for the most discerning collectors, such as the new Ducati 916 Senna II. In total, 43 lots where you can find rarities from the beginning of the last century to newer models and even… a pinball from Harley-Davidson! The sale closes on December 11, so there’s only a few hours left to get your hands on such a pricey steal.
As we told you at the beginning, the highlight of this auction is the 1997 Ducati 916 Senna II. special commemorative edition of the missed F1 driver, Ayrton Senna. More specifically, a second edition after the great success of the first. In addition, this unit benefits from the 916 SPS chassis and a 916cc twin-cylinder engine, with the crankshaft placed at 90 degrees and, of course, desmodromic distribution. In combination with Pankl connecting rods, it gets a power of 112 HP. With 8.855 km on the odometer, the Ducati 916 Senna II is unit 62 of 300 produced and its price varies between 13,500 and 23,000 eurosabout.
Without leaving the manufacturer based in Borgo Panigale, many – of the 43 available – also offered – a Ducati 1199 Superleggera from 2014. This is another special edition, specifically the 40th bike of the 500. One of the last Italian superbike powered by a twin-cylinder Superquadro with 200 HP. It is in perfect condition and has barely been ridden, as is 6,398 km away. In this case, its price will move between 44,000 and 49,000 euros.
In addition to these models, Bonhams also has a Norton F1 from 1990 with attractive decoration’Special John Player‘. This model became famous for using a 588cc rotary engine. There is also room for models from the beginning of the last century, such as the example of BSA Sports the 9 CV in 1934 and includes one Quadrant with 453cc engine built in 1907. Its price can even reach the numbers of Ducati 916 Senna II.
