A total of 1,087 migrants arrived in the last 24 hours on the Italian island of Lampedusa, including 576 who traveled full of a fishing boat located and escorted by the Guardia di Finanza and Coast Port guard.
This is a recent large arrival on the island, whose reception center with 907 migrants is once again on the verge of collapse after 12 landings in the last few hours and despite the fact that the transfer of some groups to Porto Empedocle started immediately, in Sicily, the Italian media reported.
After a day of continuous arrivals, on Monday night a fishing boat was brought to port with 576 migrants from Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan and Bangladesh who sailed on Sunday night from in Zwara, in Libya, and Shortly after that, another 43 people of Gambian, Guinean, Malay and Senegalese nationalities arrived and also sailed that day.
Girl dies in beach drowning
Soon, there was a shipwreck off the coast of a small Italian island where a two-year-old girl died. The shipwreck also left eight migrants missing, including two minors, according to the testimony of survivors, who explained that 50 people were traveling on the boat.
