Edwin Castro became a creditor of more than two billion Colombian pesos after winning the lottery in the United States.

Today his name is very popular as he became an overnight billionaire after winning the biggest prize in the history of this country.

This man is 31 years old and his luck has changed forever since November 2022 when he decided to enter the Powerball lottery and suddenly won it.

When Edwin was able to verify in a matter of seconds that his numbers had been selected for victory, he was transformed from a simple mechanic who had to work from the sun to the shadows to feed himself and live with dignity, into a human being with dignity The lifestyle of a millionaire.

In total, the price would be equivalent to 2.4 billion pesos. But Edwin knew how to use the money and decided from the first moment to invest in various things, especially in houses that he purchased in his home state of California.

Since the lucky winner chose to have all the money paid to him rather than in 29 installments per year, Edwin actually received $997.6 million.

By deducting the taxes he had to pay, the lucky man ended up with $628.5 million, which in Colombian pesos is equivalent to more than two billion.

José Rivera and his attorney Kurt Panouses will take the stand and claim that the ticket was purchased in 2022 at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, California.

The winner was announced in February 2023 and many people doubt Castro for delaying claiming his prize.

It should be noted that Rivera did not notice the disappearance of his ticket in advance, but rather waited until the prize was awarded to announce that it had been lost and that it was exactly the winning number.
