The Civil Guard of Ejea de los Caballeros arrested on March 21 a man who was driving a stolen car, without driving and with stolen goods in the trunk. As reported by the Corps through a press release, traffic agents who were conducting alcohol and drug control in Tauste identified this driver around 4:30 am.
The man, noticing the presence of the agents, abruptly braked and drove suspiciously, which is why he stopped and was tested for alcohol and drugs, in which he was negative. During the examination, one of the traffic specialists observed how some cables were sticking out from under the steering wheel and suspected that the vehicle might have been pulled over.
When the documents of the vehicle and the police database were checked, it was discovered that it had been stolen and that a complaint had been filed the day before in Ejea de los Caballeros. In addition, they were able to verify that the person who was doing it did it without his driving license and never had one.
During the inspection of the car, a large number of electric motors, radiators and various parts were located at the back, so the driver could not prove their origin.
For these reasons, this person arrested and transferred to the offices in Tauste will continue with the proceedings, and will proceed with the investigation of the effects that he was carrying if he was stolen. The situation was later confirmed when, on the afternoon of the same day, March 21, a complaint was received about the material in an industrial estate in Ejea de los Caballeros.
The man, a 43-year-old resident of the Aegean and a Spanish national, has a notorious reputation. He has now been charged with theft of a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of a driver without a license.
The business managers of Ejea de los Caballeros and the civil security of Tauste and Ejea participated in this action.
