A Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania woman has won a $1 million lottery prize. And all were thankful that he sent to buy a thermometer, because his son was sick.
Diane Babbin, a single mother of two, said she asked her mother to go to the grocery store to buy a thermometer for her sick son and also buy a scratch card.
The winning ticket was sold at a Shop N’ Save store on April 28 on Dailey Avenue, CBS reported.
“My mom and I always play scratch the chest together. My mom ended up scratching the ticket in the car and called me saying: ‘You have to come to get me’. I can’t drive home. I said: What do I know? She is an older woman and she was shocked,” he said. Babbin in the lottery.
He told Lottery that Babbin lives with his parents so he can help them and take care of their children.
“I’m a single mother, so I couldn’t give my kids the life that I have without the help of my parents,” said Babbin.
