A new line of investigation opened to the financing of the electoral campaign of Peru Libre in the second round was reported by prosecutor Rafael Vela, coordinator of the Office of Laundering of the Office of the Prosecutor. On Tuesday, the First Office of the Supraprovincial Prosecutor specialized in money laundering crimes expanded the investigation against Pedro Castello, Dina Boluarte and Henrique Shimabukuro for the charges of prohibited funds of political institutions, money laundering and criminal organization.
This, after the statements of Petri Castelli, the former adviser of Henry Shimabukuro, who claims to have framed the campaign of the then candidate for the first term of the presidency, Dina Boluarte, in the second number of elections.
“We are now opening a new line of investigation linked to the second election with facts that have been incorporated into the investigation process that goes back to June 2021,” he said in an interview with the RPP.
It clearly confirmed that Boluarte is already connected to the previous investigation that was opened from June 2021, and in which the crime of money laundering is associated with the financing of the campaign mentioned in the first part of the article.
“The facts justify the expansion (…) the inclusion of Mr. Shimabukuro, which is for public information and which requires that the Office of the Public Prosecutor identify all the people who have already been questioned, who they are,” said Mrs. Boluarte.
By carrying out an investigation, Boluarte declared the position of vice president or president.

He explained that the new cases, that is, the criminal ones that relate to the financing of the campaign in the second round of the elections, were not requested by the prosecutor Ricardo Rojas for the purpose of the third office of the prosecutor to launder the money that he had. the first round, where illegal funds were allegedly created by the criminal organizations Los Dinámicos del Centro and Los Tiranos del Centro.
He supported the decision of the prosecutor Rojas to expand the charges for which the president Boluarte is being investigated, in addition to the incorporation of Castile and businessman Henry Shimabukuro.
