Punctually on September 8th, the official holiday of our autonomy, a new political course begins. The parties are currently talking again about guidelines and goals for the coming months and years. There is no doubt that waiting lists in the areas of health, mental health, demographic challenge, housing and work will be on the list of topics that will be very present in the next four years. Without forgetting global challenges like climate change or the steadfast defense of feminism and diversity.

We must not abandon the reform of the law in this legislative period. On the contrary, we must make it a central axis and start working today. The political forces represented in the Xunta Xeneral must be aware of our responsibility in this matter. A new statute is essential for the Asturias of the present and especially the future. It is our duty to implement the changes so necessary to have a real impact on people’s lives, to protect rights, to unite the territory with absolute respect for all corners of the Asturian geography, to protect industry and its relocation to prevent, innovate and provide great talent giving up every day for lack of opportunities, ending the language conflict …
It’s time to build a country in all areas: communication, health, culture, economy, environment, industry, social services, rural areas.
It is our responsibility to equip ourselves with the self-governing mechanisms of the most progressive communities and put them at the service of our society. Hello D’ASTURIES!
