A Reddit user from Larimer County posted a picture of the Northern Lights

According to a Reddit posting, the Northern Lights were visible in northern Colorado on Thursday morning.

Last week, forecasters hoped that a strong solar flare would help ignite the Northern Lights in Colorado on Saturday night, but the right conditions didn’t develop and cloudy over the weekend blocked possible views of most Coloradans.

Reddit user, Ecoartist, posted a photo of “Northern Lights From Laporte” on Thursday.

The picture was taken around 3 pm, the ecoartist said on social media.

“They were visible to the eye only in light pollution, but my camera sensor actually saw them! We’re still heading towards solar maximum, so keep looking up!”
