A reign of terror on the highways of Southern California

In late 2022 and early 2023, a man known as the “Tesla Road Rage Guy,” Nathaniel Radimak, wreaked havoc on the highways of Southern California, causing fear and panic among drivers. Their attacks, usually carried out with a pipe, targeted random cars and left the victims, mostly women, shaken. According to the LA Times, Radimak has a history of violence, which could shed light on his motivations.

The first traffic accident involving Radimak occurred in Hollywood in 2020. During a search of his car at the time, police discovered $30,000 worth of cash and steroids, which led to assault and drug trafficking charges. His violent tendencies also extended to his personal relationships. An ex-girlfriend described a pattern of physical abuse, threats of violence against her and her family, and frightening outbursts.

The road rage surrounding Radimak continued into 2023 and several incidents were documented. He targeted a 74-year-old woman outside a doctor’s office in Glendale and threatened another woman at a warehouse in Atwater Village. That same day, he allegedly confronted a woman on a highway, smashed her headlight and then followed a car out of a Pasadena mall, hitting it with a metal pipe. Dash camera footage showed one of his attacks on Highway 2 near York Boulevard.

With his arrest in February 2023, Radimak’s reign of terror finally ended. However, his actions left a lasting mark on his victims, leaving them traumatized and frightened. Although five years may not seem like enough for the atrocities he committed, it is a relief to see this dangerous individual removed from the streets.
