On the night of this Wednesday, the reparation dinner took place for the former Minister of Social Development, Giorgio Jackson, after his exit from the media and the pressure from the opposition.
At 8:00 p.m., at the Círculo Español in the municipality of Santiago, various authorities met, including the Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Carolina Toha; the government spokesman minister, Camila Vallejo; the Minister for Women and Gender Equality, Antonia Orellana; the labor minister, Jeanette Jara; and the Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Alvaro Elizalde.
Then, 20 minutes later, Giorgio Jackson arrived, as he posted Third President Gabriel Boric later joined.
It should be noted that Foreign Minister Alberto Van Klaveren and Ministers Carlos Montes (Housing), Esteban Valenzuela (Agriculture), Nicolás Grau (Economy) and Carolina Arredondo (Cultures) were also present as government representatives.
Another former minister who attended the meeting was Marco Antonio Avila, who left the education department a few days after Jackson’s departure as a result of the cabinet change. Ávila was replaced by Nicolas Cataldo.
Also present were the president of Convergencia Social, Diego Ibáñez, the mayor of Maipú, Tomas Vodanovic and the mayor of Ñuñoa, Emilia Rios both RD fighters.
Another personality who was present and plays a leading role in the party is Diego Vela who is close to Jackson and could take over the new party leadership after Jackson resigns Juan Ignacio Latorre.
