The Health Regulation and Control Agency has already asked to report irregular sales of medicines containing fentanyl.
During an operation by the National Anti-Drug Directorate in the Guayaquil Bay the authorities stated seven vials of fentanyl a powerful synthetic opioid that is 50 times stronger than heroin.
The National Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Chemical Substances Investigation Unit reported the latest seizure of the substance on Monday, September 18, 2023.
The fentanyl vials were confiscated Operation Sentinel II‘. The anti-drug agents found a place where drugs were smuggled across the southern border and they are distributed freely.
The medications “are sold on the black market, without any prescription,” the police report says. These are the seized products:
- Seven ampoules of 10 milligrams each, for a total of 70 mg. of fentanyl
- 108 blister packs of diazepam with a total of 10,800 mg.
- 140 blister packs of clonazepam with a total of 2,800 mg.
- 98 blister packs of Alprazolam with a total of 980 mg.

The Health Regulation and Control Agency (Arcsa) surveyed the population at the beginning of August report irregular sales or distribution of medicines containing fentanyl.
