The founder and director of Car-can, Javier Herrera, said in an interview that he created this particular clinic because of the need to avoid euthanasia in dogs and cats that arrive at the veterinarian’s office with a diagnosis due to an unfair disability.
“We are going to celebrate 20 years. In Mexico we are pioneers in making wheelchairs, and we do what every little animal in the condition of disability requires,” he said.

So Herrera, who is a veterinarian, has turned her home in the office of Xochimilco Mayor, in the south of Mexico City, into a center for clinical and rehabilitation care, where cats and dogs receive different approaches to therapy, such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. among others opposites.
