Similarly, the nurses on board may perform some diagnostic tests on patients whose health condition requires it. In parallel, it aims to transfer to the population the work done by nursing professionals in various fields and to show the reality of the profession under the motto ‘We take care of your whole life’.
There are tests that can be done in the truck, for example, spirometry or a test to detect “Helicobacter pylori” or a breath test.
The trailer will feature the presence of two nurses who will demonstrate various talks, workshops, some diagnostic tests, assessment of health status and the care people need with the aim of improving the health of the population.
Talks and workshops will address a wide variety of topics and care recommendations, such as diabetes, sexually transmitted infections, or even mental health in adolescents. In addition, there will also be talks about lactation, menopause and attendees will be taught how to perform first aid, CPR techniques, reports AP.
Nurses will perform spirometry to assess lung function, detect heart rhythm disturbances, or glycosylated glycemia tests, among others. Finally, assessment scales of vaccination coverage status, nutritional status or sleep patterns, among others, have been included.
Currently, the vehicle is being produced at the facilities of Alegría Activity, a Vitoria-based company in Zaragoza. The trailer will begin its journey after regional and municipal elections so as not to mix with potentially partisan interests.
