At approximately 8:40 a.m., a citizen saw a young girl walking on Route 122 in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseille, which attracted his attention. She immediately took charge of the young girl in an attempt to locate her parents, as the child seemed to be exploring the surroundings on her own and had apparently escaped adult supervision.
Unable to locate the parents, the Good Samaritan noticed that the girl was healthy and in good spirits. After trying to locate adults or parents, she contacted authorities to report the girl’s presence, Sergeant Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec, confirmed in an interview with Vingt55.
When police arrived at the scene, they searched to locate the parents and determine where the child had gone, explains Sergeant Bilodo. Unfortunately, the search operation lasted only a few minutes, as well as checking the neighborhood. Regardless, the parents were not found.
