The A39 between the A391 Lanivet and the A39 Indian Queens is expected to remain closed in both directions for several hours following a serious collision. The report of the accident involving a caravan came at 7:15 pm.
An eyewitness says a lorry had a jack knife and had a 4×4 car on its roof. The National Highway has confirmed that a car carrying a caravan veered off the carriageway and overturned.
The Force Incident Manager of Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police received a report of an accident on the A30 on the west side near Indian Queens at 7:15 pm today (May 30). It is not clear how many vehicles were involved and Air ambulance will reach the spot in no time.

“Both carriageways are about to be closed so that the air ambulance can land. The incident is ongoing and is being treated as serious.”
National Highways have now confirmed that the road will remain closed for several hours and a diversion route is being established. He has advised motorists to expect delays in their journey.
A spokesman for the national highway says: “This is after a vehicle collision. A car carrying a caravan veered off the carriageway and overturned.
“Emergency services are responding at the scene. National highways have resources to assist with traffic management. Diversion route details are being established. Road users are expected to expect delays on the approach of the incident and extra time for their journeys.” It is advisable to allow
Traffic and travel website Inrix said: “The accident involved the A30 stop in both directions, a caravan and a car from the A39 (Indian Queens, Fredon) to the B3274 (Victoria).
