Havana, May 18 – Cuban Culture Minister Elpidio Alonso described the persecution of Buena Fe Duo in Spain as cowardly, McCarthyist and fascist acts, his Twitter account highlighted today.

For its part, the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNIC) issued a statement through which it expressed its indignation at the ‘barbarism’ that has unfolded in recent days in the persecution and harassment of Cuban artists . “It is an assault against decency, a clear contempt for culture and those of us who defend our right to work from this blocked and maligned island,” the text indicates.
