DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) – Actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed to her Instagram followers that she is engaged.
Lohan announced her engagement to boyfriend Bader Shammas and showcased a traditional oval diamond ring featuring a photograph of a happy couple in an embrace.
“My love. My life. My family. My future,” the message says.
The 35-year-old Mean Girls star has been living in the skyscraper city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for several years. Hollywood celebrities escaping the spotlight have long flocked to the paparazzi-free luxury emirate to keep track of the many VIPs who are settling into luxury villas on an artificial palm-shaped island.
Little is known about Shammas, a Dubai resident whose LinkedIn page states that he is Assistant Vice President of International Wealth Management at Credit Suisse. Prior to joining a Swiss bank serving the world’s richest people, he worked for BNP Paribas, one of the largest French banks in Kuwait and Bahrain.
After moving to Dubai, Lohan behaved with restraint and said that the parties were behind.
She is slated to appear in a holiday romance comedy released by Netflix with singer-songwriter Accord Overstreet. On Instagram, she also announced that she is launching a new podcast to share “intimate conversations with influencers and friends.”
