Adele ‘ready for 2023 Grammys’ after recovering from Las Vegas residency pullout

Adele wasn’t nominated at the Grammy Awards last night because her album 30 wasn’t eligible yet, although it was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Adele reveals reasons for canceling her Vegas residency

No, Adele and Ed Sheeran weren’t inducted into the Grammy Awards—it’s just that their latest albums fell out of the eligibility period to be considered for the 2022 awards.

While the two singer-songwriters weren’t up for applause at the ceremony, which was held last night in Las Vegas, you can expect them to rule at next year’s ceremony.

Adele must have something to do with those who are still smart that she canceled her residency in Nevada City 24 hours earlier than she was on stage.

A producer working with her during rehearsals complained that she didn’t even tell the Caesars Palace show staff before releasing her statement.

They grumbled: “We knew there were some issues with the show, but we didn’t know she decided to cancel them until she said so on social media.”

The producer further commented, “There was a lot of hard work behind the scenes which sadly nobody got to see. It came as a real shock.”

Adele was supposed to do weekend shows in Las Vegas for more than three months, but she tearfully announced she was postponing them a day before the first night.

He cited issues with the Covid-19 pandemic as a mitigation factor, although reports have suggested there were production issues for performance.

The show has yet to be rescheduled, but Adele is scheduled to perform at London’s British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park this July.

Adele opened up about the residency on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year, where she explained that there were “many different reasons” for the issue.

She said: “I really thought I’d be able to pull something more together in time and that’s why it was such a last minute thing. I’m frankly sorry I kept going with it until that day.”

Singer said the production “just wasn’t ready,” citing delays with the show’s pieces and Carpenter’s not coming to work, amid rules surrounding the separation affecting it.

She said: “It really would have been a half s*** show and I can’t do that. People would look straight through me on stage like ‘She doesn’t want to do that.'”
