ADEX: Exports in the first half of the year totaled 32 thousand 088 million US dollars

In the export report of the CIEN-ADEX Global Economy and Business Research Center, it was detailed that traditional exports totaled US$ 23,622 million in the first half of the year, registering a growth of 17% and a share of 73.6% of the total. ,

Although mining (US$18,325 million) grew only 5.1%, it was the most important sector, followed by oil and natural gas, fishing and agriculture. Major items were copper (growth of 1.8%) and gold (2.7%), followed by liquefied gas (388.3%) and copper cathode (46.1%).

With regard to destinations, China (US$10,513 million) was ranked No. 1 in the ranking with a 44.5% share. Japan is in second place (US$1.51 billion), followed by the US, South Korea, India, Canada, Switzerland, the UK, Brazil and Spain. Of this group, Canada reduced its orders by -7.6%.

For their part, non-traditional shipments in the first half of the year amounted to approximately US$8,466 million, an increase of 21.2% compared to the same period in 2021. In the monthly analysis, an increase of 21.9% was achieved in June 2022 (US$ 5 thousand 769 million 199 thousand) compared to the same month last year, becoming the third month with the largest positive variation. It rose 29% in February and 23% in March.

According to CIEN-ADEX, this growth is explained by the high performance of primary mining shipments (+11.5%) and traditional shipments as a whole (+22.3%). Non-traditional (+20.7%), agribusiness (+2.3%), chemicals (+63.7%) and iron and steel (+43.5%) remained out.
