AFIP this Monday updated the minimum amounts that banks and virtual wallets must report activity on bank accounts, The agency published Resolution 5348 in the Official Gazette, in which it revised the minimums for bank accounts and taxpayer cards across the country. The last update was done in 2022.
The tax authority’s regulation, which was published in the Official Gazette ten days ago, raised from 30,000 to 120,000, the minimum amount that financial institutions must report debit card consumption. Similarly, General Resolution 5138/2022 brought the minimum figure for reporting monthly recognition, monthly withdrawals, account balances and fixed deposits from 90,000 to 200,000 pesos. Obligation to inform:
a) With respect to the registration, cancellation and modification, to be made within each calendar month, of checking accounts, savings accounts, salary or social security accounts and payroll of special accounts – all opened in accordance with the provisions of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic “savings deposits , Salary and Special Accounts”, “Sight Accounts opened in Co-operative Credit Unions” and “Regulation of Bank Current Accounts” – as well as any other type of accounts that the Authority establishes in the future, with its parent located in the country Formed into companies, subsidiaries and branches.
b) the total accumulated amount of monthly recognition made in the accounts indicated in the previous paragraph, in Argentine or foreign currency, when it is equal to or exceeds 200,000 pesos.
c) the total accumulated amount of monthly withdrawals in cash made from the accounts indicated in subsection a) in Argentina or in a foreign currency, when it is equal to or exceeds 200,000 pesos.
d) the balance of the accounts referred to in subsection a) equals or exceeds 200,000 pesos in the month – in full value – as of the last business day of the reported monthly period. For these reasons, positive and negative amounts must be considered.
e) The total accumulated amount of the fixed deposit in the monthly notice period when it is equal to or exceeds 200,000 pesos.
f) Consumption with the holder’s debit card and/or additional ones – excluding the amount of withdrawal in cash and any other amount that does not consume – in the country, when the accumulated amount is equal to or more than 120,000 pesos per month. -in each of the accounts reported in paragraph A).
g) Consumption abroad with the Debit Card maintained by the holder and/or with Add.
h) Collection of checks for professional fees issued by courts or bodies of the judiciary, whether collected by account deposit, bank transfer or cash deposit over the counter. preceding paragraph.
j) in the case of accounts titled ‘Special Fund Repatriation Account – AFIP General Resolution No. 4816/2020 and its amendments’, the ‘Special Fund Repatriation Account – Solidarity and Extraordinary Contribution.
