Several US companies said they would help their employees if they had to go out-of-state for abortion services, as the US Supreme Court overturned “Roe v. Wade” which ruled a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion. right was recognized.

Here’s What American Companies Are Offering Abortion Travel Benefits

  1. Amazon: Employers, the second largest private US employer, will pay up to $4,000 in annual travel expenses for non-life-threatening medical treatment, including elective abortion.

  2. Apple Inc.: The company has said that its current health plan covers abortion care and travel costs if medical care is not available in their home state.

  3. Microsoft: Microsoft will expand its abortion and gender-affirming care services for employees in the United States to include travel expense assistance.

  4. Meta Platforms Inc.: The company said in a statement that it wants to offer travel expense reimbursement, “to the extent permitted by law,” for employees who will need to access health care and fertility services out of state. “We are in the process of assessing how to do this given the legal complexities,” the company said.

  5. The Walt Disney Company: Disney said the company’s benefits will cover the costs of employees who need to travel to another location for care, including abortions.

  6. Netflix: Netflix said it will offer travel reimbursement for US employees and dependents who travel through its health plans for cancer treatment, transplants, abortions and gender-affirming care.

  7. Citigroup Inc.: The bank has begun covering travel expenses for employees who travel out of state for abortions because of newly enacted restrictions in Texas and other states.

  8. JPMorgan Chase & Co.: Company tells employees it will pay for travel to states that allow legal abortion

  9. Starbucks Corp.: Starbucks said it would reimburse American employees and their dependents if they had to travel more than 100 miles from their homes to have an abortion.

  10. American Express Company: American Express said it will cover travel and other related expenses for employees and their dependents if they require abortion or gender-affirming treatment that is not available at their place of residence.

  11. Uber Technologies Inc.: Uber said that its insurance plans in the United States cover a range of reproductive health benefits, including termination of pregnancy and travel expenses to access health care.

  12. Goldman Sachs Group Inc.: The company will cover travel expenses for its US-based employees who need to travel out of state to obtain an abortion or gender-affirming medical care starting July 1.
