Tosca has introduced a collapsible and reusable plastic container, designed to solve all the questions raised. This flexible plastic container measures 120x100x80 cm and is supplied with a base made according to the specific needs of broccoli to protect its quality and freshness. Even if the collapsible container is full, the broccoli is not damaged. Cost savings
Taking advantage of Tosca’s collapsible containers, Agromark has been able to reduce reverse logistics by up to 75%. Agromark used to return a total of 56 trucks every 28 weeks. Now, with the improved efficiency of collapsible containers, the manufacturer caters to 14 return trucks at the same time. By eliminating 42 round trips every 28 weeks, Agromark has made significant savings while reducing its CO2 emissions. Logistics savings
Tosca’s collapsible container measures 80cm when full, the same dimensions as rigid plastic containers. However, Tosca’s container can be folded when empty and its size has been reduced to 36.5 cm, which is what Agromark needed to retrieve its empty assets from the UK, as Tosca’s solution costs £182 per truck.
