Airtel beats Jio in 5G case, becomes first telecom company to give live performance

Announcing a major achievement, Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom service provider, stated that it was the first telecom company in the country to successfully perform and host live 5G service (5G Service) on a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Compared to current technology, Airtel is capable of giving 5G speed, ten times latency and 100 times concurrency. Notably, in Hyderabad, users were able to download an entire movie on a 5G phone in just seconds.

This performance underscored the company’s technical capabilities. However, the full impact of the 5G experience will be available to our customers only when sufficient spectrum is available and government approval will be obtained.
