Types of Degrees Available: The University of Akron College of Business offers three delivery options for students seeking an MBA: fully online, face-to-face evenings, and a working-model weekend program. Students in online or evening programs can take any course that meets their needs at any particular time to maximize flexibility. The Weekend Professional MBA is a cohort program where students begin and end as a group.

Class Location: Courses are conducted online at UA’s main campus in Akron and asynchronously.

Online Option: Interdisciplinary MBA can be completed 100% online at a time which works best for the student. For part-time evening students, classes meet one night per week for eight weeks. All core MBA courses are offered online with certain areas of specialization, giving all students the ability to take courses in person or online. The Weekend Professional MBA is in-person only, and classes meet every other Saturday for 19 months.

Requirements for admission: An online graduate application, a statement of purpose, and transcripts of all participating programs are required. The GRE and GMAT scores will be considered along with the GPA but are temporarily waived as a requirement.

Scholarship/Financial Aid: Student loans and scholarships are available. Partial teaching assistants are available for a limited number of full-time students.

General Tuition/Fee Information: Tuition for the Flexible MBA program is $462 per credit for in-state students (plus fees), totaling approximately $20,000 – one of the best values ​​for a high-quality program in the state. The Weekend Professional MBA is $33,000 for the full program, which includes meals, guest speakers, a Professional 360 Assessment and Leadership Planning, coaching, and most cost for study abroad travel. The total required credits for an MBA degree is 36.
