Alia Bhatt shares the changes she experienced after marrying Ranbir Kapoor in Koffee With Karan, Season 7. The couple is now expecting their first child.

Alia Bhatt is the newest addition in the Kapoor family as she married Ranbir Kapoor in April this year. She made her first guest appearance on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan 7 along with Rocky and Rani’s love story co-star, Ranveer Singh. In the first episode of the show, Alia shared how she grew up in a nuclear family to become the daughter-in-law of Bollywood’s first family. She said, “I have been brought up between me, my mother (Soni Razdan), my sister (Shaheen Bhatt) and my father (Mahesh Bhatt). That was all. Our interactions were very limited. We were a very close family, But we weren’t a big family. We didn’t have these massive celebrations or get-togethers. Everyone did their own thing. Enter the Kapoor family, where we do everything together. You eat together, do aartis together. Ho, everything happens together. It was lovely. I have gone through so many moments of culture and family because of the Kapoor family that it has given me a new layer in my life.”

Alia and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14 after dating for five years. They got married at Ranbir’s Mumbai home in Vastu in an intimate ceremony attended only by his close friends and family members. After two months of their marriage, the couple recently announced that they are expecting their first child.

“Our baby… coming soon,” wrote Alia while announcing her pregnancy on Instagram. She shared a picture from her ultrasound appointment with Ranbir. He also added a picture of a lion, a lioness and their cubs. Alia and Ranbir will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which will release on September 9.
