All set for the 96th edition of the traditional Macy’s Parade

This Thursday, the giant balloons featured in the 96th annual Macy’s Parade for Thanksgiving are ready.

The Castaño Gámez family arrived very early in the process to see how they inflate them.

“Our tradition has always been to watch it on television, but this time we brought the children to see it in person,” says José Castaño.

The family is visiting from San Antonio, Texas, and they say their dream of seeing giant helium-inflated balloons for their little ones has finally come true.

“We are very excited, we were here for several days, but the truth is that it is closing with flourish, we are very happy,” said his wife, Jane Gémez.

Macy’s spokesman Orlando Veras tells us that the ornate floats, bands, bells and balloons will travel through Central Park West across the country to Central Park West and straight to television screens.
