The dispute with Vinicius is served and goes on long. It was a tough afternoon for the Brazilian footballer during Real Madrid’s visit to the Mestalla. Following the scene of racist slurs from one part of the stadium, it didn’t take long for reactions from the player’s defense to follow.
Many teammates, great players from other teams, sports personalities and even politicians showed their love and support to the Brazilian player. There were many reactions.
His partner from madrid
They have been several of his comrades who have come out in his defense on social networks. The first, Militão, was one of the strictest in his statement.
“Today was another sad day here in Spain, another day that racists unfortunately won. It’s a shame! You are a victim of racism, you defend yourself and then they are trying to defend you ! Our fight continues!”, he wrote minutes after the events.
“Always with you”, was the message published by Dani Ceballos which was also published by Camavinga. “There are things that should never happen inside or outside the stadium. Not for racism or intolerance!” Courtois wrote.
Embappé and Neymar came to his rescue
Kylian Mbappe didn’t hesitate to send Vinicius some words of encouragement after the fact. “You are not alone. We are with you and we support you,” she said in a ‘story’ published on her Instagram account.
His teammate Neymar JR responded with a similar message: “I’m with you,” he wrote alongside a fist against racism and a black heart.
Mayor of sao paulo
Eduardo Paes, the mayor of Brazil’s most populous city, was the harshest with his response to Javier Tebas. Through his Twitter account, he directly insulted the LaLiga president by replying to his tweet about racism. “Fuck you son of one…, you want to blame me ****** the victim?” He wrote in his post.
It was one of the toughest messages for Javier Tebas, who did not hesitate to respond to Vinicius’ accusations and received a wave of criticism from Brazil’s defenders.
Lineker and Ferdinand agree
Rio Ferdinand: “Who is protecting Vinicius in Spain? I see the pain, I see him asking for help and the authorities do nothing. Nobody deserves this,” former Manchester United footballer slams Neymar, Cristiano Calling many world class players like said, Haaland, Messi or Kane to pronounce.

FIFA stands in solidarity with them
FIFA President Gianni Infantino publicly came out in defense of the Brazilian after the game. “Our full solidarity with Vinicius. There is no place for racism in football or society, and FIFA is on the side of the players who have found themselves in such a situation.”
In his statement, the FIFA chief executive explained the procedure that should be followed in cases of racism like the Brazilian one. “First, the match is stopped and it is announced. Second, the players leave the field of play and the ‘speaker’ says that if the attacks continue, the match will stop. If they continue, the match will stop. and three points will go to the opponent”, he declared.
