The resumption of relations between Venezuela and Spain
For its part, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry highlighted the delivery of the credentials of Ambassador Coromoto Godoy, reaffirming the commitment to resume relations between the two countries.
On this May 17, the “commitment to work for the resumption of friendly and cooperative ties” has been reaffirmed, the foreign ministry said.

The distribution of the credentials by Ambassador Godoy to the Kingdom of Spain took place at the Royal Palace in Madrid, and was attended by senior representatives of the Spanish government and the Venezuelan Embassy in Spain.
Prior to the ceremony, Ambassador Godoy Calderón, on his account on the social network Twitter, expressed his “great joy” upon hearing the Royal Band sing the vocals of the Venezuelan national anthem.
“On the occasion of my presentation of the credentials recognizing me as Ambassador to Spain, it was a great pleasure to hear the Royal Band in the Patio de la Armería of the Royal Palace interpret the glorious notes of our national anthem.
