AMLO assures that there will be no cuts in the health sector

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that there will be neither a reduction in the 2024 spending budget in the health sector nor an increase in the national debt.

He mentioned the above in his press conference this Wednesday after being questioned about the alleged budget deficit for next year, a fact which he condemned and described as a disinformation campaign by the opposition.

“They have caused terrible damage with neoliberal policies, the same people who now want to return. “They are not right, they criticize health issues, for example,” said the head of the executive branch after resuming his “morning meetings” after a tour of Colombia and Chile.

And in the section “Who is who in the lies” Ana Elizabeth García Vilchis denied that they would cut the budget for the health sector; on the contrary, it will increase by 5.9 percent, i.e. 55.2 million pesos, compared to the previous year. Of course, since even the Federal President emphasized that 140 billion pesos will be made available for the IMSS bee star.

On the other hand, he accused that the media that spreads the opposition’s disinformation campaigns are “Salinas”. Who has made the most lucrative deals in the healthcare sector? Salinas de Gortari’s brothers-in-law, the Gerards.”

“These investments in health will be able to be made without debt, that’s the other thing. “How outrageous, there will be a deficit!” No, Mexico’s national debt is less than Calderón’s and Peña Nieto’s. But I understand their hysterics,” said López Obrador, after recalling that the budgets of the last six years in office were a theft from the people.
