AMLO shuts down by banning TikTok in Mexico

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Monday ordered a ban on the use of the Chinese-owned social network TikTok in the country, arguing that his government guarantees freedom of speech.

The CEO of TikTok appeared last Thursday in front of US lawmakers, who are calling for a ban on the application in the country, because they think it is a tool used by China and provides content that can harm the mental health of children. America.
