One of the main bets of the PSOE of La Roda in its electoral program is to fix the exterior lighting of the church so that “everyone can recognize the La Mancha lighthouse from afar”, for which we are already in talks with the Iberdrola Foundation . It has also announced that the City Council of La Roda has a grant of 160,000 euros from the European Fund for the installation of solar panels, which “we will start in the coming months”.
On the other hand, as explained by Pilar Poveda, one of the members of the list, “various elements of our cultural heritage such as the city’s cross or shield will also be restored and illuminated.” Another important point is the Plaza Mayor’s walkway. As Poveda explained, “With the lighting of Christmas or the act of proclamation with such good acceptance, important steps have been taken to recover this place for the use and enjoyment of the citizens.”
Isabel González also talked about the remodeling of Moreno Mico Square and the cobblestones of Avenida Castilla La Mancha or the station and the promenade of Juan Ramón Ramírez. He has also announced the union of the end of Paseo Ferial with the paved road of Nuevo Maracaní, while Ana Isabel Esterlich has pointed out that two important streets will be improved, namely Paseo del Cementerio and Carlos III street.
For his part, María José Fernández talked about improvements in places such as the Pilgrims’ Hostel, which would be named after Antonio Cebrian, “as announced a few months ago by the mayor of La Roda.” Along with the improvement of the La Bascula Center, he also mentions the “progressive installation of solar panels in municipal buildings”.
Similarly, the electoral program includes other measures to improve energy efficiency in La Roda such as the promotion of energy communities “with the aim of reducing the cost of energy consumed by companies and households” or a water cycle scheme in which rainwater is recycled. Improvements included the creation of ditches and water networks to be reused across the green areas and golf course. Finally, another measure that will be taken will include the creation of a comprehensive plan for traffic management and urban and sustainable mobility, “both of which will lead to more sustainable displacement measures such as walking and bicycle use.”
Amores warned, in this final phase of the campaign, that “we are running a campaign with proposals and in a positive way without any disqualification”. He invited everyone to “support our candidacy, so that La Roda does not stop for a minute and we have the power of the people’s vote, with the power of a great majority, to go to any institution. “
