Anderson Paak recently joined Elmo and Cookie Monster on Sesame Street to collaborate on a song about the holidays we didn’t know we needed.
The R&B artist appeared on a recent episode of a children’s series to sing a song about the holidays celebrated throughout the year called “What’s a Holiday?” A clip of his hilarious collaboration was posted to YouTube on Thursday.
In the clip, the Silk Sonic artist at one point sings, “Holidays remind us of an event we remember / Like Memorial Day or June Teeth, not to mention Veterans Day…”
Paak is, of course, joined by Elmo, who helps him prank the Cookie Monster by telling him “there ain’t no cookies in the world” while singing about April Fool’s Day.
Luckily, Cookie Monster got the joke in good spirits.
“Oh, that’s a good joke,” the doll replied.
The “Leave the Door Open” singer celebrated his appearance on Sesame Street, which is currently streaming on HBO Max, in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying he was “playing with my new band.”
In another post on Thursday, .Paak shared his excitement about joining his favorite show.
“Love @sesamestreet, it was such a dream come true,” he wrote in the caption to the post. Happy Holidays everyone, I hope we didn’t miss anything.
Elmo seemed to be in a good mood playing with .Paak after he went viral last week in a clip of The Muppet losing his cool.
Twitter users were amused that Elmo got a little pissed off when Zoe, also a Muppet, offered Rocco a cookie—a rock—instead of him.
Elmo later tweeted about the viral moment:
