Another powerful bike from KTM coming, first seen during testing

Australian bike maker company KTM is working on a new model. If reports are to be believed, KTM may soon launch the 990 Duke. Recently this bike has been seen during testing in Europe. This will be the company’s naked middleweight sportsbike. The first such model was launched by KTM in 2018, which was the KTM 790 Duke.

engine will be strong
The 990 Duke will be an all-new model, but the exterior design looks pre-spotted. The LED headlight unit and some body panels of the bike are exactly like the KTM 890 Duke. However, the design of the tank extension is brand new. As the name suggests, it is going to get a more powerful engine than the 890 Duke.

The parallel twin engine of the 890 Duke generates 119 bhp power and 99 Nm torque. The engine capacity in the new model will be 990 cc. It will get a new exhaust system and a new radiator. The bike will also get updated swingarm and updated chassis setup. If reports are to be believed, the company is testing two different suspension setups. In this way, the company will be able to use the platform of 990 Duke in other models as well.

Currently it is being tested in Europe. It can be available in two variants – Standard (Base) and R trim (Top). The higher-spec variants may get a better suspension setup and lighter parts to enhance performance. In view of the demand of 790 Duke in India, after its launch in the international market, 990 Duke can also be launched in the Indian market.
