Anthony Marcotte believes Logan Mailloux is the number one recall option at this time

Tomorrow, the Canadians will play a match against a very difficult opponent. The ducks will be in town.

Obviously, the issue to watch will be the identity of the starting goalkeeper. It will be played between Samuel Montembeault and Cayden Primeau. We’ll know more after tomorrow’s training at the Bell Center.

I have put Harris’s name in parentheses because he is less likely to play. After all, his condition seemed to be deteriorating after the injury on Sunday.

As far as Guhle is concerned, it’s less certain, although Arpon Basu doesn’t think he’ll see him again any time soon. If both defenders miss tomorrow’s game, one Laval defender will have to be recalled. Justin Barron? not so fast. Anthony Marcotte believes Logan Mailloux is the best option at this time.

Besides, Rocket’s voice isn’t the only one to think so.

The team’s head coach, Jean-François Houelle, said essentially the same thing.

The young defender, who performed well at the AHL All-Star event, is playing very well and “he is forcing CH.”

At the beginning of the season, Martin Saint-Louis opened the door to recalling the right-back. Now seems like the time is right for a recall as the defense has been improved and Mailloux is one of the Rockets’ best defenders, if not the best player.

At the moment, the defense looks like this:

Guhle and Harris’ names have not (yet?) been placed on the injured list, but…

Let’s just say Mailloux, on the right side of Xhekaj, won’t be a disastrous experience. Remember that before Zekaj was recalled, the two played very well together at the lower level. It’s true that the NHL is a better league, but at least two of the youngsters won’t be facing the best opposing teams.

Still, Barron seems like a logical reminder.

At least Lane Hutson is getting closer to Montreal. Because yes, Marcotte is sure that he will play in Montreal and not for the school club.

– Big update.

– No doubt, he’s the CH MVP.

– Good question.

– Oh ok yes.

– Ah good.

– I liked it.
