Antolin increases Sales by 18% to 1,158 million

Burgos-based company Antolin, a global provider of technological solutions for car interiors, has registered a solid increase in sales of 18%, to 1,158 million euros, as well as its operating profit in the first three months of the year, ob. It is committed to increasing its business portfolio with products with greater technological content, using new electric mobility and strengthening its presence in markets with high growth potential, two main aspects of its GOA (Gear up Our Ambition) Transformation Plan.

With this growth, Antolin has managed to increase its business as an industry, which continues to gradually recover its pre-pandemic figures, due to the progressive improvement of the global problems of supply chains. Global vehicle production increased 6% in the first quarter, reports Ical.

The increase in revenue, together with the efficiency measures and the optimization of costs, has boosted Antolini’s gross operating profit (ebitda) to 69 million coins, compared to 55 in the same period of the previous year (that is 16%). The result was achieved in a “challenging economic context characterized by inflationary pressure and user growth”.

Antolin seeks to increase the efficiency of its business through various initiatives seeking operational excellence in the industrial network and its operations. With these actions, he hopes to achieve savings of three hundred million dollars over four years and thus increase the profit of the company.

All Antolin regions have experienced significant improvement with growth over market development. Asia stands out in particular, with an increase in revenue of 19%, up to 178 million euros, compared to an increase in vehicle production in that region of one percent. Sales in North America increased by 10% to 374 million, while Antolini’s revenue in Europe and other markets increased by 23%, up to 605 million.

Moriroku company with in Japan

One of the goals of the change plan is to expand activity in markets with high growth potential for Antolini’s business, such as Asia, to expand its customer base. As part of this plan, the company has reached a commercial agreement with Moriroku to develop media projects and market in the Japanese market.

Both will combine their experience and technological capabilities with the aim of bringing the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer an authoritative proposition in terms of cost solutions, quality, advancement and innovation.

In the case of Antolin, the company will also provide its leadership in the development and integration of lighting solutions and electronic interior components. Both companies are already working to present their first commercial proposals to Toyota.

In this way, Antolin aims to increase its business with the Asian manufacturer with a goal that represents 20% of Asian goods in 2026, four percentage points more than in 2022.

New plans

Another of the pillars of GOA’s transformation is the plan to develop Antolin products, incorporate technological solutions and thus offer the most complete and broad portfolio of parts in the market of interior vehicles. One example is the ambient light in the opening of the panoramic sunroof of the new Safari model from Tata, one of the leading manufacturers in India.

This Antolin lighting perimeter, in monochromatic red and blue, stands out in the panoramic roof system that can be opened, generating an enveloping experience. This integrated solution will be implemented in other upcoming models in the Indian market.

Antolin is also working with sports car manufacturers to introduce innovations that will be important in the automotive industry for years to come. The new Lotus Eletre that has just come on the market has a new ambient light from Antolin with ISELED technology which, in addition to being decorative, is part of the vehicle’s HMI system. Below the instrument panel, a beam of light that runs across the camera changes color to communicate with the occupants.

Antolín highlighted that customers are turning to him with the aim of helping advanced solutions in new vehicles, especially electric models, that “improve the experience of the passenger journey”. In total, the company manufactures about 600 vehicle models around the world, including more than 100 cars that use alternative combustion engine technologies. In 2022, nearly 40 percent of the electric cars sold in the world will be supplied by Antolin parts.

The transformation in which Antolin is immersed in leading the mobility of the future from within vehicles and which covers all aspects of its business, is present in its 2022 Integrated Report, which was recently published. A customer-focused culture, technological innovation, operational excellence, sustainability and talent are the differential values of Antolini’s transformation to lead a new era, as the company’s annual report collects and explains. All parts of Antolini’s commitment to increase value creation and progress in its sustainable and responsible business model.
