Anurag Kashyap, known for his unique directing style, openly expresses his opinions on many occasions. Anurag, who has helmed around 28 projects so far, has never worked with big stars like Shahrukh and Salman.
Now Anurag explained the reason for this in a talk show. Talking to Pooja Talwar, Anurag said, “Even though I had come here to make films, there was a time when I had surrendered.” Everyone always told me that you make such films without a star… Ask imagine what you would do with a star.
Don’t make films to serve the star’s fans
Anurag said that with stars comes expectations. He said: “No one can play with his image and he also has to fulfill the needs of his fans.” I don’t know how to do all this.
On the other hand, when working with a star, if you don’t meet the needs of his fans, he will reject you. I don’t work to serve anyone’s friends or fans.

Salman’s fans attacked the Tubelight director
Anurag further said that stars like Shah Rukh and Salman can never ignore their fan following. Whether he’s experimenting or playing in the field, he thinks about it a lot.
The reason for this is that his fan base reacts very badly when they get angry. They follow everyone. After Tubelight, Salman Khan’s fans attacked Kabir Khan.
Pankaj Tripathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Actors like Pankaj and Nawaz also do solo lead roles.
While talking about OTT, Kashyap emphasized that stars will remain stars even in the OTT era. He said, “OTT has paved the way for many players and has also equalized many things.”
One thing is clear about OTT: good actors get better roles and better salaries. Artists like Pankaj Tripathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are now also doing solo feature films.
These days, Kashyap is celebrating the premiere of his film “Kennedy” at many film festivals. It stars Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone in the lead roles.
