Apple will not make iPhone 12 mini in India, find out the details

Apple has stalled plans to make the iPhone 12 Mini in India. Considering the weak demand for iPhone 12 Mini in India and globally, the company will not make these phones here. A report in the Economic Times quoted two senior industry executives as saying. The company had planned to make the iPhone 12 Mini through its plant in Western, Karnataka. The company wanted to make the iPhone 12 Mini by May-June.

Wistron has recently started production of the older iPhone
Taiwanese contract maker Western has recently started making older iPhone models after being off for about 3 months. The plant was shut down after violence over wage disputes (wage and allowance disputes). Western is currently under investigation from Apple and cannot begin production of any new products until Apple is fully satisfied with all the labor practices and protocols followed by the company.

Apple does not want to produce due to weak demand
An executive said, ‘Probation has nothing to do with making iPhone 12 mini in India. Apple also considered Foxconn to make this model in India when Western’s entry was prolonged. However, the demand for this model is very weak and Apple does not want to increase its production. There are also rumors that Apple may soon stop selling the iPhone 12 Mini. Some people assume that the share of total iPhone sales is very low.
