Are there any NASCAR races today? Date, start time, TV schedule for next race after one week break

For this NASCAR Cup Series season only, there will be no NASCAR racing this weekend. After 17 consecutive weekends, the competition is taking a week break.

This will give fans a chance to whet their racing appetite as the regular season approaches its crescent.

The Cup Series season is scheduled to end with the final playoff race on the first Sunday of November – similar to the 2021 season, which included a two-week Olympic break.

Here’s everything you need to know about NASCAR’s one-week hiatus, as well as when the Cup Series will be back in action.

Are there any NASCAR races this weekend?

There’s a NASCAR race this weekend. But it will not include drivers from the competition’s premier division, the Cup Series, which is taking a weekend off.

Race fans who were ready for action were able to attend the Truck Series race on Saturday, June 18 at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa.

Those hoping to watch the Cup series will have to wait for the weekend. The series is set to resume with Allies 400 in Nashville on Sunday, June 26.

Why isn’t the Cup Series race this weekend?

The simple answer is that the 2022 Cup Series season started a week later than the 2021 season. President’s Day, which is celebrated on the third Monday of February, this year fell on February 21 – the latest date it could possibly be.

This means the Daytona 500, which was held on February 15 last year, ran on February 20 this year. The highly anticipated event marks the start of the NASCAR Cup Series season and has been held over Presidents Day weekend for more than 50 years.

Despite a late start, the 2022 Cup Series season is still scheduled to end on the first Sunday of November. Last year, all three tiers of NASCAR (Cup, Xfinity and Truck) took a two-week break for the Tokyo Olympics.

All your favorite Cup Series drivers will return to the track for the Alley 400 on June 26. Series TV coverage is expanding from Fox and FS1 to NBC and USA Network now through the end of the season.
