It’s hard to do well with so few games, but Moon Studios’ track is simply amazing. Since the launch of Ori and the Blind Forest in 2015, the developer’s reputation has grown so much and has been crowned in the metrodvania genre with its latest installment.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is not only an amazing adventure, but in its own right it has become one of the strongest candidates to sit on the throne of Metrodvania. On Metacritic it scores a great 90 on its Xbox One version and goes up to 93 if you get the Nintendo Switch edition. A true must-have for your collection now available on Steam for just 5.99 Euros.

We are talking about a savings of 80% compared to the original 29.99 coins and marks its historical minimum on Valve’s digital platform. At this time we must again control Ori a little, who already controls his power. He will have to use them again after the spectacular flight with Ku the owl, when they will both be taken care of in the ruined land.

The formula that we could see in the first game returns, but refined to such an extent that the feeling of playing is impeccable. Our driving force feels great because it can direct each of its actions and emotions under control at all times. This is key, as the Ori and Wisps will need a lot of precision to get past the platform areas and battles.

It’s hard to stay in the action, as art absolutely dominates when we see everything that’s done by hand by the artisans at Moon Studios. Vivaldi is also up to par and we have a new piece of system available to enhance Ori’s capabilities. The battles against the bosses are memorable and we can get even more from the title with Spirit Tests, which challenge us to complete the routes in the shortest possible time.
