Arnold Schwarzenegger Currently working on his role as Luke in the new Netflix series ‘Fuber’. The character divorced his wife for infidelity, to which he was asked if this was somewhat autobiographical, as he had split from his then-wife Maria Shriver in 2011.
in an interview given to hollywood reporter The actor and former governor of California responded that his role is not autobiographical, although he admitted that “we laughed about it, it sounds like a documentary.”
He admitted that in real life his divorce was his fault: “It was my bullshit, it was my failure.”
“The difference is that in the show, he (Luke) doesn’t consider it cheating because (deceiving CIA agents) was part of his profession. His wife left because he was never home. Now, he has to deal with this dilemma with his daughter. Because she only has one job and it’s going to ruin their relationship,” Schwarzenegger, 75, replied.
He further added that “But (in my real-life marriage), it was my screw up. It was my failure.”
“Very difficult”
They asked him if he missed getting married, to which he replied “no”, and although his divorce with Maria Shriver was “very, very difficult”, having previously moved on and is currently his girlfriend, Maria Shrive rwhom he described as a “wonderful” woman.
“I have a wonderful girlfriend, (Physiotherapist) heather milligan which is very successful. I’m so proud of her, and I love her. Whereas, I love my ex-wife. He and I are very good friends and very close, and we are very proud of the way we raised our children, ”said the actor.
He indicated that despite the difficult separation, he and Shriver share many moments for their children, such as Easter Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas and other celebrations.
“If there’s an Oscar for dealing with divorce, Mariah and I should get it for having the least impact on the kids. The sweetness and kindness you see in her is from my ex-wife. The discipline and way of doing things is mine.” Is.”
