Potential buyers of electric cars in Mexico are in luck. The country is getting a new firm of vehicles powered only by electricity that will be sold in 20 cities across 12 states. It is ARRA and this is what it offers.
The initials of the ARRA hide a concept that is quite a statement of intent: Automobiles, Renewables, Responsible and Advanced. These electric cars are released on Mexican soil, which is the country chosen to make the first distribution of their cars.
The device rises after an initial investment of 20 million dollars. The amount used in the Chinese assembly lines and in the logistics of being able to place the new electric car on Mexican soil.
Two electric cars to whet your appetite
As for the first ARRA offering, this is based on two completely different electric vehicles.
ARRA-3
The first of these is the ARRA-3, an electric SUV 4,473 meters long, 1,822 meters wide and 1,538 meters high. As an idea, it is similar in size to the Volvo C40 Recharge or the Mercedes EQA.
The design is very futuristic, with a signature light front that resembles the electric Volkswagen, with a LED line that crosses the width and continues into the headlights. Senses are maintained in the middle, with 17 or 18-inch screens (depending on the version), multifunction steering wheel, electric front seats or an optional panoramic roof.
The safety system has six airbags, ABS sensors, traction control, stability control, emergency braking, hill start assistant and a rear camera.
At the moment, there is no official confirmation when they will come to Mexico, but it is known that they will do it in two versions. The ARRA 3S will have a range of 420 kilometers from 36,252 coins (719,000 pesos), while the ARRA 3SE Plus will reach 610 kilometers from 42,807 European coins (849,000 pesos).
ARRA EW-1
In addition to this new ARRA-3, the new company will also have a van among its electric vehicle offerings. The ARRA EW-1 is designed as a multipurpose vehicle for transporting zero-emissions goods.
In terms of size, it is 4,865 meters long, 1,715 meters wide and 2,060 meters high. Inside we find a cargo volume of 6.2 meters and it has the ability to transport objects that add up to 1,400 kg.
The size of the battery should not be too high, since the autonomy is limited to 260 kilometers and the maximum speed is limited to 80 km/h. On the other hand, fast charging moments are obtained, from two to two and a half hours with the most powerful bowls up to five and a half and seven and a half hours, when the power is contained more.
In terms of safety equipment, it will have ABS brakes, sensors and rear cameras, two airbags and an alarm. The launch date has yet to be confirmed, but it is known that it will have a starting price of 37,261 (739,000 pesos).
