(Agraria.pe) In 2022, Peruvian grape exports reached US$1,362,740,000 for 554,730 tons, showing an increase of +9% in value and +8.1% in volume compared to US$1,249,800,000 for 513,060 tons in 2021.
This was reported by the Association of Agricultural Producers Guilds of Peru (AGAP), which indicated that the main destination markets where table grapes were sent from Peru in 2022 are the United States of America with US$ 639,490,000, the Netherlands with US$ 152,130, 000, Hong Kong US$ 86,030,000, China with US$68,360,000.
The United States and the Netherlands were the two main markets for Peruvian grapes; while Hong Kong and China regained these prominent positions when in 2021 the ranking was as follows: United States, Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, China, Canada and Hong Kong.
AGAP also highlighted that in 2022, Asia with US$ 227,577,580 will account for 16.7% of all Peruvian grape exports that year. They were imported from Hong Kong with US$86,030,000, China with US$68,360,000, South Korea with US$26,500,000, Taiwan with US$23,910,000, Vietnam with US$13,680,000, Indonesia with US$9,540,000.
In 2021, Asia, with shipments of US$ 232,462,800, represented 18.6% of all Peruvian grape exports that year (US$ 1,249,800,000). The order of the main target market of that continent is Hong Kong with US$ 124,240,000, China with US$ 42,870,000, South Korea with US$ 40,780,000, Taiwan with US$ 15,670,000, Indonesia with US$ 5,020,000 and Vietnam with US$ 4,920,000.
